In celebration of Alexander McQueen’s 10th anniversary, the luxury brand is collaborating with artist Damien Hirst to launch an exclusive collection of 30 limited edition designs of the iconic Alexander McQueen scull scarf. Each style is adapted from Hirst’s Entomology series, with butterflies, bugs, spiders and other insects worked to form kaleidoscopic geometric shapes in materials chiffon, pongé, twill and cashmere. The collection launches mid-November and prices start from £315. Available in-store and online.
For the Love of God is a sculpture by artist Damien Hirst produced in 2007. It consists of a platinum cast of an 18th century human skull encrusted with 8,601 flawless diamonds, including a pear-shaped pink diamond located in the forehead that is known as the Skull Star Diamond. The skull’s teeth are original, and were purchased by Hirst in London.
The price of £315 seems like small change compared to the Hirst colab with the Olsens twins and there high-end backpacks, they were selling for £35,000! Guess those bags are not being used for someones sweaty gym kit.
I’m sure you are all familiar with For the love of God and McQueen’s iconic scarves but just incase you have been living on Mars here they are again.
