This is my Fantasy Black Friday, outfit curtesy of Celine, my vintage black E-Type Jaguar, Modernist black house and of course my beloved black cat, Queen B, that’s what I’ve called her, yes sometimes I live in my head way too much.
So braved the queues today for the Alexander McQueen sample sale with Squeak and another mum and child in tow. Stood for one and half hours to get in, then once inside friend and I realised that trying to shop in an oversubscribed space with toddlers was not that great of an idea.
Walked out with no shopping bags but may attempt to go back solo. Was hoping to find the following pieces but was out of luck.

Spotted these gems from Delfina Delettrez.
A fourth generation Fendi, Delfina Delettrez drew on her creative passion for fashion and accessories to create her eponymous label in 2007. Combining organic materials with polished metals and precious gemstones, her collections are a bold fusion of romance and glamour, perfect for adding a distinctly opulent edge to your look.
Loving these hair slides and single earrings all available from Dover Street Market if like me you resisted popping along to the Dover Street sample today, silly very very silly.
Todays post is in celebration of Calvin Klein’s birthday today. He is the young age of 71
Calvin Klein was born on November 19, 1942, in Bronx, New York. He studied fashion in New York City and apprenticed for a suit manufacturer. In 1968, he opened his own company. He was initially recognized for suits and coats, but his sportswear line became popular as well. He received three Coty Awards for womenswear. His business now includes clothing, cosmetics, fragrances and home collections.
To celebrate the birthday of a world famous iconic figure in the fashion lifestyle industry I have selected a few of the Calvin Klein advertising images that have helped to ensure the brand remains a household name.
At the moment Squeak’s obsession is everything mermaid, her daily mantra is “Mummy when I grow up I want to be a mermaid, please Mummy”.
This made me start to recall that when I was little my desire was to be a ballerina which I think is still propbably a lot of little girls dreams today. Of course for me this never came true as I know I’m not cut out for eight hours training every day and the sacrifices one has to make to become a principal ballet dancer.
However still today I feel enamoured by the grace, beauty and ultimate control that those dedicated to the art form achieve with the human body. The poise of every muscle to perform leaps, jumps and breathtaking lifts still makes me sigh internally……I want to be a ballerina when I grow up.
I have to come clean here THU THU is a brand I was not aware of until today, which surprises me as it’s flipping good.
They have a real interesting story behind the essence of it’s originality. I think you will agree although you can see a trend lead story in the collection but when I read more about their inspirations I saw a clear indication as to why the designs have a unique point of difference, which personally I sometimes find hard to spot in a lot of the fashion brands I see every day.
Find THU THU at Browns Focus, Matches and Harvey Nichols.
